Job Description
SecurityRecrutier.com has been engaged to find a seasoned security professional whose expertise is in the realm of protecting Intellectual Property and leading our client's Digital Rights Management (DRM) efforts. This high-visibility growth role functions as a key member of the CISO staff providing security and governance to our client's business worldwide. This role focuses on all aspects of Intellectual Property security with particular emphasis on loss prevention and copy protection. You'll work closely with IT, business units and the CISO requiring the ability to balance business needs and corporate standards. This role requires a security professional who has and maintains an extensive knowledge of technology offerings while also keeping track of legal regulatory requirements in the Intellectual Property area. The appropriate candidate will also have strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle as well as associated risks pertaining to content protection. Here are some of this role's essential job functions: Work with business, legal and senior Intellectual Property professionals including both direct and dotted-line reports; develop a strategic Intellectual Property Security and Loss Prevention plan with a vision for the future; Manage and promote Intellectual Property Security and Loss Prevention standards, policies and procedures; Lead development of the enterprise Intellectual Property Security and Loss Prevention policies, standards and procedures; Develop corrective action plans including end-to-end process analysis of all technical departments to identify areas of risk; Define and implement a risk-based approach to identifying, monitoring, controlling, measuring and reporting various types of Intellectual Property security risks; Perform Intellectual Property security assessments of external vendors and service providers as necessary; Review new copy protection and Digital Rights Management (DRM) offerings; Negotiate and manage copy protection and DRM deals for the company; Maintain an ongoing watch of new technologies and strategies that enhance Intellectual Property protection; Develop performance measurements and matrices to assess the effectiveness and ROI of Intellectual Property controls; Manage strategic use of copy protection API and DRM within the development lifecycle; Responsible for all aspects of Intellectual Property security for pre and post released builds (storage, sharing, testing, etc.); Assist the business units to maintain Intellectual Property security during outsourcing or off-shoring, defining processes and performing audits; Partner with Anti-Piracy teams in the investigation of Intellectual Property leakage; Advise and coach the business in relation to standards and best practice around Strategic Sales and Licensing deals and content security methodologies.

Requirements
Requires a BA/BS in business or technology with education at the Masters level preferred. Certifications in one or more of the following areas preferred: CISSP, CISM, GISO, GCIH. Demonstrate expert program and project management skills as the Sr. Manager or Director level. Demonstrate deep understanding of Intellectual Property, Copy Protection, Encryption, Digital Rights Management, Information Security strategy, technologies and tools. Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to communicate with and work effectively with executives. Experience in the software business, entertainment media industry or entertainment software industry is a significant advantage.
